The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Rare Dynasty LLC ("Thumit," "we," "us"), which operates the Thumit service at thumit.app. By using Thumit, you accept them. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

What Thumit is

Thumit is a verified-visit rating service: people who provably showed up at a place thumb it up or down, and a place's score is verified thumbs up divided by all verified thumbs. Reading Thumit requires no account. Casting a thumb requires verifying a visit and a phone number.

Your account is your phone number

• One number, one account. Your verified phone number is your identity. You may not create or control more than one account.
• You must be at least 13 years old and use a phone number you genuinely control.
• Verification codes are for you alone — don't share them, and we will never ask you for one.
• By entering your phone number, you consent to receive verification-code SMS at that number. Message and data rates may apply. This is the only kind of message we send.

The rules of the thumb

• Thumb only places you've actually visited. Verification exists to keep the signal honest; circumventing it defeats the whole point.
• One live thumb per person per place. Your latest thumb replaces your previous one.
• No manufactured thumbs. Don't buy, sell, trade, or incentivize thumbs, and don't use multiple numbers, devices, or people under your direction to move a score. This applies to business owners rating their own or competitors' places.
• No abuse of the system. Don't probe, overload, reverse-engineer the verification flow, or interfere with codes, counters, or scans.

We may remove thumbs, suspend accounts, or exclude places where these rules are broken. A score is only as good as its honesty, so we take manufactured thumbs seriously.

For business owners

Claiming a place on Thumit requires demonstrating you control it. Owner features are provided as-is during beta and may change. Owners cannot pay to alter a score, and there is no mechanism for it — by design.

Beta service, honestly labeled

Thumit is in beta. Features will change, break, and occasionally disappear, and scores may be recalculated as the system evolves. We provide the service "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rare Dynasty LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits or revenues, arising from your use of Thumit. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed one hundred US dollars ($100) or the amount you paid us in the past twelve months, whichever is greater.

Content and scores

Thumbs and scores are the collective output of verified visitors; they are opinions, not statements of fact by Thumit. We don't endorse any place, and a score is not a guarantee of quality, safety, or anything else.

Termination

You can stop using Thumit at any time and request deletion of your data per the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Riverside County, California.

Changes

We may update these terms as the service evolves; the effective date above will change when we do. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
